Sunnyslope High School Student killed at a Phoenix Bus Stop

It is hard to imagine that pedestrians on the sidewalk, or waiting at a bus stop, can be seriously injured or killed as the result of negligent drivers.

A 16 year old Sunnyslope high school student waiting at a bus stop was killed on May 13, 2015 when a truck involved in a two car crash went over the curb and struck him.

A pickup truck was traveling westbound on Glendale Avenue at Central Avenue, the driver attempted a left turn, and collided with a trailer being towed by another pickup. The trailer rotated and struck the young man, who was standing on the sidewalk, waiting for a bus. Phoenix police were investigating failure to yield issues.

In a previous car pedestrian crash at Indian School and 67th Avenue in Phoenix, two people were killed and one was injured when a pickup truck swerved into oncoming traffic and went onto the sidewalk, between the bus and bus stop.

In another collision, a hit and run, a pickup truck hit and seriously injured a woman at a bus stop, at 44th Street and Indian School in Phoenix, and then drove away.
